We will also introduce you to local olive varieties that you can only find in our area of Lake Trasimeno.
Umbria’s treasures
We are one of Italy’s most important areas for truffles and there is a truffle for every season. You will get to experience the truly unique and symbiotic relationship between the truffle hunter and his dog, and search for truffles in the forest with them. After (hopefully) finding truffles, guests are served a lunch highlighting this incredible ingredient.

Learn how to make the perfect pasta, sauce, or local dish, directly from one of our chefs. You will learn the secret to why Italian cooking is so well-loved and how simple ingredients can come together so easily when you know how to combine them correctly. When you go home, you’ll be able to host your own meal, highlighting some of the local tricks and tips that you will learn in this class.

Enjoy learning about newly emerging world-class grapes and wines at some of our local wineries. All of the wines on our curated wine list are sourced within a short radius from the hotel and we have a personal relationship with each of their cantinas. Every winery ships bottles internationally should you wish to continue to enjoy them or stock up your wine cellar with your unique finds. A private driver is available on request for wineries a short drive away, or you can visit a great recommendation within walking distance of the hotel.
