What are the reception opening hours?

Our reception is open daily from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm.Outside of these hours, we remain available for emergencies. Please call us at+39 075 837246, and we will be happy to assist you.

Are there taxis at the Chiusi-Chianciano Terme Train Station?

Yes, there are.There is a taxi stand directly in front of the exit. Taxis are white. There areno Uber/Lyft/Car Z in our area.

There is NO taxi service at the Castiglione del Lago Train Station but if you ask us 24hours in advance, we can reserve a taxi service. Please email us at info@rastrello.com

Where can I rent a car while in Panicale?

Most guestsrent from the Fiumicino, Perugia/Assisi, Florence, Pisa, or Milan airports anduse their rental cars until their return flights.

If you wouldlike to take the train to Chiusi-Chianciano Train Station, there arealso rental car companies there.

How do I arrive Panicale?

BY PLANE

- The most convenient airport is Rome-Fiumicino (FCO) with most international flights. It is a 2.5-hour drive to Panicale.

- The closest airport is Perugia San Francesco d’Assisi (PEG). It is a 45-minute drive to Panicale.

- Alternatively, Florence Airport (FLR) is approximately a 1.75-hour drive. It is a smaller and more manageable international airport.

BY TRAIN

The best trainstation is Chiusi-Chianciano Terme. It is a20-minute drive to/from Panicale.

BY CAR

- From Florence: A1 south-bound: exit at Valdichiana, direction Perugia, after about 15-20 minutes, exit right toCastiglione del Lago,continue direction Chiusi, after about 15-20minutes, exit Panicale,continue direction Panicale, then up themountain until you arrive.

- From Rome: A1 north-bound: exit at Fabro, direction Perugia/Chiusi, after about 25 minutes, take the roundabout directionCastiglione del Lago, continue about 20 minutes, exit right to Panicale, continue direction Panicale, then up the mountain until you arrive.

- From Siena: E73 (toward A1), continue RA6 Siena-Perugia for 12miles; exit right to Castiglione del Lago, continue direction Chiusi, after about 15-20 minutes, exit Panicale, continue direction Panicale then up the mountain until you arrive.

How do I arrive Rastrello Boutique Hotel?

By car: after arriving in Panicale, continue to drive around the town’s outerwall to the lake-side (traffic is one-way around town, counter-clockwise).Rastrello’s easiest entrance for unloading luggage is at the grey door, rightafter the garden gate and the cantina window. This entrance takes you straightto our elevator, for an easy access to the reception and check-in. VialeGuglielmo Marconi 18, Panicale (PG) 06064.

Walking from the Piazza: walk from the main Porta, past the bar Divino Peccato, take the first street to the right, whichis Via Grossi. Rastrello Boutique Hotel entrance is Via Grossi 10. Rastrello Cucina & Giardino entrance is the gate at Via Grossi 8. Our Cucina & Giardino is open to the public when the gates areopen.

Wheelchair access: The easiest access is directly from your car into thedoor at Viale Guglielmo Marconi 18, Panicale 06064. That way, there isdirect access to the elevator and the reception level. Please contact us inadvance so we can arrange the access platform and provide any furtherassistance if needed.

Where can I park and how much does it cost?

Since Panicale is a small town, traffic is not allowed within thehistoric walls. Therefore, it is easier if you unload your luggage at the VialeGuglielmo Marconi 18 entrance. Please note that there are some reserved parking spacesalong our hotel wall that are free for hotel guests. Should these be full, wewill be more than happy to assist you in finding an alternative parkingsolution.

In times of the year when there are not as many visitors in Panicale, itis also possible to park in the designated free spaces along the town walls.One of these areas is on the hotel side of town. Other parking spaces that havethe restricted sign, are for residents only and you will get a ticket.

How do I enter the hotel after 11:00 pm?

Please make sure to advise us of your estimated check-in time. That way,we can receive you the best way possible. If you have a problem and can onlyarrive after 11:00 pm, please email us at info@rastrello.com or WhatsApp (+39 353 4126302) and we will receive you at the hotel entranceon Viale Guglielmo Marconi 18.

If you are already checked in, your room key will open all exteriordoors of the hotel 24 hours.

How can I get to Florence and Rome?

If you have a rental car and want to spend the day in Florence, wesuggest you drive to the Castiglione del Lago Train Station and leave your carthere (the public parking lot is free) to take the train to Florence. This isthe most comfortable way to spend the day in Florence.

If you are planning on visiting Rome for the day, we suggest that you driveto the Chiusi-Chianciano Train Station, park in the free publicparking lot, and take the train to Rome for the day.
